Veterinary Services

Medical, surgical, and dental care for dogs and cats, all under one roof on Eldridge Road.

What we do

Everything a dog or cat needs, from the first puppy visit to their senior years.

Not sure what your pet needs? Start with the list below, or give us a call and we'll point you in the right direction.

Annual Wellness Exams

The most important appointment of the year is the one where nothing is wrong yet.

A wellness exam is a full physical. We check the eyes, ears, teeth, heart, lungs, skin, and joints, and carefully feel the abdomen. It is how we catch a heart murmur, a lump, or early dental disease months before it becomes an emergency, and where we compare weight and body condition against last year's notes.

What's included

  • Head-to-tail physical examination
  • Weight, body condition, and nutrition check
  • Review of vaccines and parasite prevention
  • Time to talk through any questions or changes at home

Vaccinations

Not every pet needs every vaccine. We build the schedule around your pet's life, not a checklist.

Core vaccines protect against diseases that are serious, widespread, or required by law. For dogs that means rabies, leptospirosis, and the combination vaccine for distemper, parvovirus, and hepatitis. For cats it means rabies and the combination vaccine for feline distemper and upper respiratory viruses.

Lifestyle vaccines depend on what your pet actually does. A dog that goes to daycare, boarding, or the dog park benefits from protection against kennel cough and canine influenza. Cats that go outdoors or live with other cats may need feline leukemia. We will walk through the options at your visit rather than vaccinating for everything by default.

What's included

  • Rabies vaccination (required in Texas)
  • Core vaccines for dogs and cats
  • Lifestyle vaccines chosen with you
  • Puppy and kitten series, spaced through the first year

Dental Care

By age three, most dogs and cats already have some dental disease. Bad breath is usually the first sign.

A proper dental cleaning happens under general anesthesia. During the cleaning we scale and polish every tooth, probe for pockets, and X-ray anything that looks suspicious. If a tooth is cracked, loose, or abscessed, we will call you before extracting it. Most pets go home the same afternoon and are eating normally by the next day.

What's included

  • Pre-anesthetic exam
  • Cleaning and polishing above and below the gumline
  • Digital dental X-rays
  • Extractions when needed
  • Home-care plan to slow the plaque coming back

Surgery & Spay/Neuter

From a routine spay to a mass removal, every procedure gets the same preparation.

Spay and neuter are the most common surgeries we perform, for dogs and cats of every size.

We also perform a wide range of soft-tissue and specialty surgeries in house, from mass and tumor removals, bladder stone removal, and wound repair to more advanced procedures. Every patient is monitored throughout, with pain control before, during, and after.

What's included

  • Spay and neuter for dogs and cats
  • Mass and tumor removal
  • Soft-tissue and abdominal surgery
  • Specialty surgical procedures
  • Anesthesia monitoring throughout
  • Pain management and clear go-home instructions

Diagnostics & Lab

When a pet is sick, waiting two days for lab results is two days too long.

Our laboratory is inside the building. Blood chemistry, complete blood counts, urinalysis, and cytology are run on site, so in most cases we have results while you are still here and can start treatment the same day.

For anything we need to see, we have digital radiography and ultrasound in house. That covers broken bones, swallowed objects, heart and lung disease, and a look inside the abdomen for bladder stones, masses, or fluid.

What's included

  • In-house blood work and urinalysis
  • Cytology and microscopy
  • Digital X-ray
  • Ultrasound
  • Send-out testing for specialized panels
