Dr. Doug Hendrix

Owner / Veterinarian

Dr. Doug Hendrix

DVM

Dr. Doug Hendrix was born and raised in Alief, Texas and worked for Dr. L.O. Harrell, founder of SLPH, throughout his high school and college career. Dr. Hendrix attended Texas A&M for undergraduate studies and graduated from Texas A&M Veterinary School in 1997. He purchased SLPH in 1999 from the Harrell family. Dr. Hendrix enjoys all aspects of general practice with a focus on surgery, including orthopedic and soft tissue surgeries. At home, Dr. Hendrix and his wife Bridget have raised two daughters, Emily and Katie, and currently have a pair of pugs! In his spare time, Dr. Hendrix loves fishing and following Aggie Football, WHOOP!

Dr. Erin Floyd

Dr. Erin Floyd

DVM

Dr. Erin Floyd grew up in Sugar Land, Texas and has been a part of the Sugar Land Pet Hospital family since 2004. She graduated from Kempner High School in 2006 and graduated from Texas A&M University with her Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences in 2009. She graduated from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine with her wonderful husband, Dr. Will Floyd, in 2013. They currently live in Richmond, Texas with their two children, eight cats, and one dog. Dr. Floyd has a particular interest in feline medicine and is proud to be the clinic’s “crazy cat lady.” She enjoys painting, reading, and spending time with her friends. She attributes the fulfillment of her lifelong dream of becoming a veterinarian to the dedicated mentorship and guidance provided by Dr. Doug Hendrix.

Dr. Desiree Parks

Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Desiree Parks

DVM

Dr. Parks grew up in Texas after spending her early childhood in Illinois. She earned both her bachelor’s degree in Zoology and a master’s degree in Microbiology from Texas Tech University before attending Colorado State University, where she completed a Master of Public Health and earned her DVM in 2014. Her clinical interests include infectious disease, pathology, and internal medicine.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Parks loves spending time with her husband, their three children—Zoe, Quill, and Juniper—and their bustling household of pets, including three dogs (Leia, Yoda, and Obi-Wan) and six cats (Boba Fett, Rey, Jyn, Mando, Padawan, and Naboo). In her free time, she enjoys gardening, camping, and supporting her children in all their school activities and adventures.

Dr. Kathaleen Tahilramani

Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Kathaleen Tahilramani

DVM

Dr. Kathaleen Tahilramani (AKA Dr. T) grew up in Arlington, Texas. She earned her undergraduate degree in Biomedical Sciences at Texas A&M University in 2014 and graduated veterinary school in 2020. She has a special interest in preventative medicine, dermatology and surgery. She practices family oriented style of medicine and treats her clients and patients as if they are members of her own family.

Dr. T loves spending most of her time at home with her husband, Kanav, and son, Ben. She has a golden retriever, corgi, and two cats. Dr. T enjoys cooking and finding new local eateries - she is a total foodie!

Dr. Caitlin Hruzek

Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Caitlin Hruzek

DVM

Dr. Caitlin Hruzek was born and raised in the Houston area. She started riding horses at the age of 7 and from then on knew that she wanted to be a veterinarian. Dr. Hruzek graduated from Texas A&M University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science. After graduation she worked at a few different veterinary hospitals before finally finding Sugar Land Pet Hospital in 2018. Since then, she has been here in various roles: first as a veterinary assistant, then a veterinary technician, until she was accepted into veterinary school. Dr. Hruzek went on to attend veterinary school at Texas A&M University and graduated with honors in 2025. She rejoined Sugar Land Pet Hospital as an associate veterinarian in June 2025.

Dr. Hruzek has an interest in radiology, internal medicine, and surgery. Outside of work she enjoys reading, crocheting, and cooking. She lives in Sugar Land, Texas with her two cats and is currently looking for a house to share with her fiancé, Steffan.
